Sparkles the Fire Safety Dog & Dayna - The BRAND NEW Artist

Doomed to a dismal life, Sparkles

the dalmation was living in squalor along

with 61 other dogs when his fate suddenly

turned.

Firefighter Dayna Hilton adopted  Sparkles

and the two of them began an exciting

nationwide tour teaching kids

how to become fire safe.

Dayna sent me a message on Facebook saying

she wanted to learn to draw Sparkles so that

she could illustrate her own books.

So she signed up for

DRAW PETS 101  (click here)

Dayna is constantly on the go:

press conferences, interviews and

presentations all over the country.

But she tossed my portable

workbooks into her

suitcase and began to

practice in small snippets of

time snatched here and there.

A few weeks later, Dayna drew

this amazing portrait of Sparkles in

about one hour.

BACK STORY:

Both my home and business burned down

along with 2,500 other homes in the San Diego area.

So I want to take a minute to talk about the

importance of fire safety and how you can

Protect Your Art in the

Event of a Fire:

s_house_burning_down_web.jpg

Both my home and business burned down on TV.

  1. SCAN ALL YOUR ART - 300 dpi JPEG
  2. Don't have a scanner? Office Depot can scan it.
  3. Put it on several CDS - One in a safety deposit box
  4. Send one CD to a relative in a distant town.
  5. That way even if you art burns you can still

make prints and get it published.

Btw...  my art slides melted in the fireproof safe

so don't count on that. Store a CD off site.

BEFORE Jpegs and scanning were so

readily available, I lost 900 pieces of my

art in this fire that ravaged 2,500 homes.

I lost both my home and business.

Wish I had known what

I'm telling you now!

Did you know...

  • Every 20 seconds, a fire department responds to a fire somewhere in the United States.
  • One person dies every 153 minutes from fire
  • A fire injury occurs every 30 minutes.*

Don't let this happen to you or your family!
