Can you please tell me more about items that don't have a brand name? |

We do not give out brand names as our product fulfillments are based on what is currently available from our distributor and/or Sandra's updated improvements in terms of her recommendations. Consider Sandra your personal shopper. She attends all the art material trade shows and pre-tests your products for you, saving you countless hours of experimentation and lots of money on wasted products that don't work.

Are these DVDS suitable for children? |
|
Our beginner's collection focuses on teaching NON-ARTISTS, both adults and children ages 12 and up who have no natural talent. Non-artists learn in a different way than gifted people. They like to be guided step-by-step, with very specific methods.
The Level One So You Thought You Couldn't Draw™ system works best with people who can't draw a straight line. Even so, the person must have fine motor skills to succeed. Most children don't have fine motor skills until age 8 - 10 for girls and about 10 - 12 for boys. If the child doesn't have fine motor skills, they will be very frustrated and most likely will not succeed. All children generally have manual dexterity by age 12.
Most people who approach us about using our DVDS want to foster an artistic talent in a child. We caution you that gifted children may learn in a much different fashion than our Level One Series. Gifted children who already know how to draw may want to start at Level 2. Levels 2-6 are geared to all types of learners, both artistically talented people and non-artists who have finished Level One.
Although we do not promote our DVDS and books to children, many public, private and home schools have adopted our DVDS and books as a part of their official art curriculum. (San Diego City Schools hired Sandra as their keynote speaker at their last in-service and adopted her entire collection for over 100 art teachers in their district.)
Art teachers find our DVDS very useful because, in their classrooms, they get a mix of gifted and artistically challenged students. The Level One collection works extremely well with people who can't even draw a straight line. In fact, after learning the basics, students are transformed into artists and can fit more easily in a traditional, more difficult art setting.
Our Online Courses and Individual Lessons provide art teachers with an accomplished authority who is an expert on techniques for working with various drawing media. The cost of the DVD is much less than the cost of hiring a guest artist to lecture the class on a one time basis. DVDS and online lessons bring the expert to the classroom year after year.

What sort of guarantee do you have? |
|
We guarantee that art will prolong your life and if you don't feel your life was in fact long enough, we recommend that you put a clause in your will, stipulating that your pencils be packed in your coffin so you can continue to practice. Caution: colored pencils are made of wax and will melt in a heated environment. Now, our actual policy... All defective products will be replaced with an identical item. Contact us and explain the nature of the defect. See our Policies Page for more info on refunds and returns. Other than that, the guarantee is up to you. If you practice, you'll succeed. If you don't, you won't. It's that simple.

|
Do you allow teachers to preview videos? |
|
No, but you will be happy to know, our videos have received rave reviews from the nation's top critics, including The Video Librarian, The Washington Post, Booklist, Midwest Book Review, etc. In addition, the videos have won many top awards including an Emmy nomination, First Place Award in WAVE Awards, Award of Excellence in Videographer's Awards, Award of Distinction in Communicator's Awards, etc. In addition, these videos are being adopted as part of the official art curriculum in public, private and home schools worldwide. San Diego City Schools adopted the entire collection for over 100 art teachers in their system.
And if that's not enough to convince you, Sandra's sister Sharon even thinks they are cool. (Even though it took her a couple of years to admit it.)

What do students say about Sandra's teaching? |
|
Sandra has completely changed my life by teaching me how to draw. I came to her with extremely limited abilities and in a very short time, she transformed me into an artist. Now I spend countless hours drawing and have so much fun doing portraits of family, friends and acquaintances. My drawings bring so much joy to me and the people I draw. My work has now been displayed in books, DVDS, magazine columns, on TV and even on the internet. I just can’t believe it! I never dreamed that I would have so much fun with a hobby I didn’t even start until I was already 70 years old. I'm so excited that I found Sandra! Nita Draut, Department of Social Services
When I first met Sandra, she was just starting her classes. She seemed sincere but I doubted that she could actually teach me to draw. I was surprised that her simple methods turned me into an artist in 8 weeks. I went on and studied her other books, videos and attended her classes and now my work has appeared in books, on TV shows, videos and even on the cover of a national art catalog. My drawing has really enriched my life! Now I've almost finished drawing my whole family, including the cat and dog. Orville Thompson, Engineer
I always wanted to draw but my high powered career prevented me from pursuing personal pleasures. I enrolled in Sandra's class and before long, I was drawing like a pro. I am very proud of the first drawing I did of my grandson. It will be fun to leave that legacy for the kids. Joan Endres, AttorneyTOP

Will my mom display my art on the fridge after I take Sandra's classes? |
|
Do you call your mother daily? Did you send her flowers on Mother's Day? Do you remember her birthday with thoughtful gifts? Do you brush 3 times daily? Then she'll probably flaunt your work. Heck, if you send her our books and videos, you two can draw together. Then she might even shrink your art down to wallet size and bore mere strangers with your prowess.
